Welcome to Portmarnock Golf Club, founded in 1894 and recognised as one of the world’s great links courses. With a proud heritage closely intertwined with the development of golf in Ireland, the Club has played host to many of the game’s most significant championships, including multiple Irish Opens, the Walker Cup, and both the Men’s and Women’s Amateur Championships.
Revered by those who have walked its fairways, Portmarnock Golf Club is among the upper echelons of links golf, as five-time Open Champion Tom Watson once observed: “There are no tricks or nasty surprises, only an honest, albeit searching test of shot making skills.”

PRACTICE FACILITIES
The practice facilities at Portmarnock Golf Club are maintained to a standard befitting one of the world’s great championship links, offering members and visitors the ideal environment in which to hone every aspect of their game.
The facilities include a driving range, along with two dedicated short game areas for pitching, bunker play and shots around the green. Adjacent to the clubhouse lies an expansive putting and chipping green, providing a convenient and atmospheric setting to prepare for a day on the links.
PRO SHOP
At Portmarnock Golf Club, the Professional Shop reflects the same commitment to quality and service that defines the Club as a whole. Led by Head Professional Francis Howley, it offers a welcoming and refined experience for members and visitors alike.
Francis and his team are always available to offer knowledgeable advice and attentive service, ensuring each visit is both personal and seamless. Rental clubs are also available on request, allowing all guests to enjoy their round with ease.
